The High School Summer Learning Program offers current PGCPS students an opportunity to recover a previously failed credited course(s) and/or earn an original credit(s) towards fulfilling graduation requirements. The 2026 High School Summer Learning Program will provide four (4) different summer sessions:SESSION ONE will support summer graduating seniors only. Eligible students will be able to register for no more than (2) blended learning asynchronous courses. Students enrolled in Session One will model our current VLP Schedule of blended learning courses with teachers providing instructional support on both Monday and Wednesday evenings.SESSION TWO and SESSION THREE will support all grade levels, including graduating seniors. Eligible students will be able to register for no more than one (1) credit recovery per session. Students participating in Session Two and Session Three will receive synchronous, in-person, direct instruction each day over the course of two (2) weeks, Monday through Friday from a certified PGCPS teacher.SESSION FOUR will support summer graduating seniors only. Eligible students will be able to register for no more than one (1) original credit course; please note the approved, limited original credit course offering list. Students participating in Session Four will receive asynchronous instruction over the course of four (4) weeks on both Monday and Wednesday afternoons from a certified PGCPS teacher. Students must complete and submit a registration form with assistance from the Professional School Counselor assigned from their SY 2025-2026 base school.
To prepare for registration, students must be familiar with their PGCPS email login credentials (username & password). Parents are asked to register or update their Family Portal account. Email will be the primary mode of communication. Students should contact the technology representative of their base school if they need PGCPS Student email/login support.

All 2026 High School Summer Learning Program students will be redirected to one of the following summer school sites based on their current boundary school. Once students register for their summer courses, the registration portal will list the selected summer school site. Please contact your Professional School Counselor for site information and additional support regarding where your assigned summer course will be held.
