Apprenticeship Funding Opportunities

Please consider the following options for funding to support a Registered Apprenticeships through the Maryland Department of Labor.
The available programs include:
Maryland Apprenticeship Incentive Program: Reimbursements of $3,000–$7,500 for training, recruitment, and mentorship costs.a new funding program for employers and sponsors of Registered Apprentices. Eligible applicants can seek $3,000-7,500 in reimbursement payments to support training, recruitment, mentorship, and accommodation costs associated with Registered Apprenticeship. Apprenticeship Industry Accelerator Program: Grants ranging from $250,000 to $2.5 million to support new apprenticeship intermediaries and sponsors. A new competitive grant program, the Apprenticeship Industry Accelerator, supports the creation of new apprenticeship intermediaries and sponsors, particularly in industry sectors where apprenticeships are not currently common or well-supported. 2026 Maryland Apprenticeship Awards: Nominations are open until March 27th to recognize exceptional apprentices and partners.
National Apprenticeship Week 2026 will take place during the week of April 26th. As part of Maryland's celebration we are accepting nominations for the 5th annual Maryland Apprenticeship Awards. The awards honor the exceptional apprentices, mentors, businesses, sponsors, and champions that are at the heart of Maryland's apprenticeship system. Labor will accept award nominations until March 27th.
Winners will be recognized at a statewide celebration event during National Apprenticeship Week 2026. Event details will be announced at a later date.
