The Every Student Succeeds Act requires that English Learners (ELs) attain English proficiency, develop high levels of academic attainment in English, and meet the same challenging state academic content and student academic achievement standards as all children are expected to meet. Our district uses Title III funding to provide supplementary materials for English language instruction, professional development for ESOL and content area teachers and to develop language-focused curricular resources to support English Learners.
