Virginia Cofie is a passionate and driven educator with over 21 years of teaching experience serving in different capacities in Prince George’s County Public Schools (PGCPS). Since entering PGCPS, Ms. Cofie has been an Elementary ELD teacher, ELD Coach, and ELD Mentor. Ms. Cofie currently serves as the Middle School English Language Development Instructional Specialist, which she has been in since 2013. She earned a Master of Arts in English as a Second Language (ESL) Teacher Education from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. Additionally, she holds an Advanced Professional Certificate with endorsements in ESOL PreK-12, and Administration.
