Dr. Melissa Kanney currently serves as the English Language Development (ELD) Supervisor for Prince George's County Public Schools, the 15th largest ELD program in the nation with over 34,000 English Learners. Dr. Kanney has served in various roles within the ELD office and Prince George's County Public Schools, including classroom and ELD teacher, ELD Coach, and Elementary ELD Instructional Specialist. Dr. Kanney earned both her Master's in Teaching English for Speakers of Other Languages and her Doctorate in Educational Leadership and Policy Development from the University of Maryland.
