Kathy Zentek has been the English Language Development (ELD) Project Coordinator since January 2005. She began her career in PGCPS teaching ESOL at Parkdale High School and William Wirt Middle School. Before coming to PGCPS, Kathy spent two years teaching first grade in Baltimore City (Brooklyn) and five years teaching first grade and Reading Recovery in Tucson, Arizona. She has a bachelor's in Elementary Education and a master's in Language, Reading, and Culture from the University of Arizona.
