Alissa Dick currently serves as an English Language Development Instructional Lead Teacher. She began her career in Prince George’s County Public Schools in 2002 at Martin Luther King Jr. Middle School. During her time at MLK Jr. Middle School, she worked as a Special Education teacher, Testing Coordinator, Data Coach, and ELD Instructional Lead Teacher. Ms. Dick joined the ELD office in 2022. Ms. Dick has a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from UMCP and a Master’s in Special Education from Johns Hopkins. She is certified in Special Education K-8 & ESOL and is pursuing National Board Certification. Alissa loves using data and empowering students to take ownership of their learning!
