Are you interested in going back to school? Do you want to earn your GED? The following options are available to students who want to return to school. 

Job Corps

Job Corps is a free education and training program that helps young people learn a career, earn a high school diploma or GED, and find and keep a good job. For eligible young people at least 16 years of age that qualify as low income, Job Corps provides the all-around skills needed to succeed in a career and in life.

If you or someone you know is interested in joining Job Corps, call (800) 733-JOBS or (800) 733-5627 where an operator will provide you with general information about Job Corps, refer you to the admissions counselor closest to where you live, and mail you an information packet.

GED Program at Prince George’s Community College

The Adult Education Program offers GED preparation and Basic Reading and Math classes. Enrollment is based on the results of placement tests; learners are placed in the appropriate class for their level.

Basic Reading and Math classes are for adults who need basic instruction in reading, writing, and math. Math 1, 2, and 3 and Reading 1, 2, and 3 classes are for adults who need more practice in reading, writing, and math skills as they prepare to transition to GED-level classes.

GED-level classes are for adults who are preparing to take the GED Tests and need to review their skills. Classes focus on writing, math problem solving, and test-taking skills.
