Distance Learning Guidance: 3D Scholars Program

Programmatic Support

The professional school counselor and program coordinator will meet with students frequently to discuss any support needed.  They will also check in with students regarding their status in the Prince George’s Community College courses.  The check-ins will be in real-time.

Program and Scheduling Considerations

Grades 9 and 10

Students will participate in the traditional 9th or 10th-grade schedule.  The Program Coordinator and counselor will check in with students during scheduled virtual visits on Wednesday.

Grades 11 and 12

Students will participate in their high school schedules until 11:00 a.m.  Students will begin college courses in the afternoons each day.

Students are able to participate in virtual course work at Prince George’s Community college both synchronously, in real-time, and asynchronously, recorded lessons.  Asynchronous courses are listed as online and synchronous courses are listed as face-to-face or hybrid.  The face-to-face model will be virtual.
